Co-sponsors were the Food and Agricultural Organization of the UN(FAO), INTSORMIL, a program of international research on sorghum and millet sponsored by the U.S. Government, and Texas A&M University, USA. A total of 112 scientists participated in the sessions that began with a series of planning meeting 8 November and ended with a 5-day symposium 15-19 November.
