Abstract
With the sudden change to using Genstat for data analysis we aim in this report to indicate initially how Genstat programs are structured, how to create text files containing progams and data, how to convert CRISP data files to text files,then creating the necessary Genstat programs, how to run these program on the VAX computer using examples of Genstat programs and macros for the processing of most designed trials. At a later stage we will incorporate more procedures. Section 1 gives a brief introduction to the logical structure of a Genstat program and we recommend scientists to consult the book by Alvey et al 'Introduction to Genstat', and the Genstat manual, volume 1, for more details
