Abstract

A representative sample of 51 guinea sorghum accessions (races guineense, margaritiferum, conspicuum and roxburghii) were screened in vitro for resistance to Fusarium moniliforme [Gibberella fujikuroi], F. pallidoroseum and Curvularia lunata [Cochliobolus lunatus]. Some 14 accessions had moderate to high resistance to the 3 pathogens. Seedlings of these resistant genotypes were transplanted and inoculated with spore suspensions at 50% anthesis. Four entries (IS7173, IS23773, IS23783 and IS34219) had not developed grain mold symptoms 55 days after flowering
