Abstract

Two sets of diallel crosses diverse parents were evaluated for heterosis and ability for 15 characters measured at seedling, and harvest phases. utility of Spanish x Spanish, Valencia x Valencia, Bunch x Virginia Bunch and Virginia Runner x Runner crosses along with the ones in breeding programs emphasized. A high of heterosis was shown by a crosses. Parents of the dialle1s were as (H) or Low (L) on the basis of their gca over the characters spanning the entire of the plant.
