Abstract

The level of genetic variation among 9 rosette (groundnut rosette virus, groundnut rosette assistor virus and a satellite RNA of GRV) resistant groundnut cultivars (ICG 3436, ICG 6323, ICG 6466, ICG 9558, ICG 9723, ICG 10347, ICG 11044, ICG 11968 and ICG 12876) was studied using amplified fragment length polymorphism (AFLP). Nine primer pairs identified 94 unique markers, with an average of 10.4 markers per primer pair. The genetic dissimilarity ranged from 3.92 to 50.33%, with an average of 19.56. ICG 11044, ICG 3436, ICG 11968 showed the highest genetic diversity.
