    Abstract

    Preliminary results from farmers' fields indicated that the introduction of this new cultivar can boost yields in wilt [Fusarium udum] endemic areas. The resistant plants can take advantage of late rains and produce a second flush when the activity of Helicoverpa armigera is low.
