Abstract
The use of granulated tapioca as an agar substitute is described, with details of the growth and sporulation of 6 pathogenic fungi isolated from chickpea and pigeon pea on tapioca-based media. This cheaper substitute is suitable for routine culture of fungi and also in seed pathology, selective isolation of fungi and evaluation of fungicides.
