Abstract

Major diseases found in Feb. 1990 in Mandalay, Sagaing, and Bago, central and lower Myanmar, included dry root rot (Rhizoctonia bataticola) [Macrophomina phaseolina] and Fusarium wilt (F. oxysporum f.sp. ciceris). Stunt (pea leaf roll virus ) [bean leaf roll luteovirus], phyllody (a mycoplasma-like organism) and alfalfa mosaic alfamovirus were also recorded, but at very low frequencies.
