Abstract
The effect of planting coriander around plots of chickpea [Cicer arietinum] on parasitism of Helicoverpa armigera by Campoletis chlorideae was studied in the field in India during 1988-89. No significant differences in pod damage between chickpea grown with and without coriander [Coriandrum sativum] were detected. Parasitism was greater in rows near coriander (6.8 and 5.3% for the cultivars ICCX 79012 and Annigeri, resp.) than in those without coriander (1.05 and 0.75%).
