Abstract
In March 1986 and March 1987, 351 samples of chickpea were collected. There was a wide range of variability for seed types, including desi types, kabuli types and intermediates, leaf size, plant height and growth habit. Twin podded types were seen in many fields. The 100-seed weight ranged from 7.0 to 39.1 g with a mean of 15.94 g. Seeds were deposited at the Genetic Resources Unit, ICRISAT.
