Abstract

The material studied consisted of simple-leaved F2 segregates in four populations which derived from crossing simple-leaved and compound-leaved material in which simple leaf was monogenically recessive to the normal compound leaf. The percentage of F3 plants with compound leaves in the progeny of these segregates ranged from 0 to 2.11%. On this basis, natural outcrossing was assessed to be 1.92%.
