Abstract
When 2835 Cajanus cajan accessions and seven Atylosia species were tested in pots by drenching the soil with a macerated suspension of Phytophthora drechsleri var. cajani, A. sericea, A. platycarpa and 80 accessions of C. cajan, including three cultivars, were resistant. The resistance of 75 C. cajan accessions was confirmed under field conditions.ADDITIONAL ABSTRACT:A pot culture technique was used to screen 2835 pigeon pea accessions and cvs., and 7 Atylosia spp., for resistance to P. drechsleri f.sp. cajani.
