Abstract

Total Organic Carbon (TOC), a key indicator of soil health and carbon sequestration, is commonly determined by wet oxidation using potassium dichromate and sulfuric acid, followed by titration with ferrous ammonium sulfate for accurate quantification. This approach remains widely used due to its simplicity, cost-effectiveness, and suitability for routine laboratory analysis. Accurate TOC measurement provides essential insights into soil quality and sustainability.
