Abstract

During 1987/88, 17 sets of screening nurseries and 20 sets of cooperative trials of short, medium and long duration (ICSN-DS, -DM, -DL, ICCT-DS, -DM, -DC) were distributed to cooperators in 12 countries, while 39 sets of nurseries and 40 sets of ftrials and 8 sets of Kabuli trials were distributed to 40 cooperators in 15 states within India. In addition 5 sets of International Chickpea Adaptation Trial were also sent to cooperators in 4 states. The results showed that days to 50% flowering significantly positively correlated with days to fmaturity in 25 locations, with plant wight at 10 locations, with 100-seed mass at 6 locations, and with seed yield at 6 locations. There was significant positive correlation between days to maturity and plant weight at 14 locations, days to maturity and 10--seed mass at 7 locations, plant weight fand 100-seed mass at 10 locations. However, negative correlation was also observed in few locations. Correlations were also completed for seed yield and yield ranks of entries among all possible pairs of locations for ICSN-DS, -DM, -DL and ICCT-DS, -DM, and -K and included in the report
