Abstract
ICCV1 was developed by pedigree selection from a cross of H208 and T3. In trials at many sites in the central zone, India, in 1978-82, it gave higher average yields than H208 and BG212. It flowers 60-70 days after sowing and matures in 100-140 days, and responds well to fertilizer application and irrigation. The seeds are medium to large (100-seed weight 16 g) and have better cooking quality than those of Annigeri and BDN9-3. ICCV1 is moderately resistant to Heliothis armigera, and has been released for general cultivation in Gujarat.
