Arid Tropics (ICRISAT), the International&#13;
Center for Tropical Agriculture (CIAT) and&#13;
the International Institute of Tropical&#13;
Agriculture (IITA) in close collaboration&#13;
with partners in the national agricultural&#13;
research systems of target countries in sub-&#13;
Saharan Africa and South Asia. TL III aims&#13;
to improve the livelihoods of smallholder&#13;
farmers in drought-prone areas of the two&#13;
regions through enhanced productivity and&#13;
