This can happen if farmers can access and effectively use the right information at the right time. Modern day information and communication technology (ICT) can play a significant role in extension efforts with improved efficiency and real-time advice. To meet the challenge of providing smallholders in India and sub-Saharan Africa with information, ICRISAT opened a Center of Excellence (COE) in ICT innovations for agriculture to link research, extension and markets. date: 2013-08 publication: SATrends volume: 110 publisher: ICRISAT refereed: TRUE official_url: http://www.icrisat.org/what-we-do/satrends/satrends-2013/satrends-august-2013.htm related_url_url: https://scholar.google.co.in/scholar?as_q=&as_epq=Linking+farmers+to+research&as_oq=&as_eq=&as_occt=title&as_sauthors=&as_publication=&as_ylo=&as_yhi=&btnG=&hl=en&as_sdt=0%2C5 related_url_type: pub citation: Dileepkumar, G (2013) Linking farmers to research.
