Red varieties were vigorous as they have recorded more summer and winter pruning weight. Based on bud burst, most of the red varieties were early and medium types except Ruby red. The mean number of canes per vine and shoot length was higher for red varieties than white varieties with more variation for cane diameter. Red varieties have also produced longer shoots than white varieties. Vigorous varieties such Chenin Blanc and Shiraz have produced comparatively shorter shoots than less vigorous varieties. White grape varieties have recorded more number of leaves (16.96) in comparison to red varieties (16.64)... date: 2015 publication: International Journal of Agriculture and Crop Sciences volume: 8 number: 3 publisher: International Journal of Agriculture and Crop Sciences IJACS pagerange: 350-365 refereed: TRUE issn: 2227-670X official_url: http://ijagcs.com/ related_url_url: https://scholar.google.co.in/scholar?hl=en&q=Multivariate+analysis+of+colored+and+white+grape+grown+under+semi-arid+tropical+conditions+of+Peninsular+India+&btnG= related_url_type: pub citation: Joshi, V and Kumar, V and Debnath, M and Pattanashetti, S K and Variath, M T and Khadakabhavi, S (2015) Multivariate analysis of colored and white grape grown under semi-arid tropical conditions of Peninsular India.
