	bibo:abstract "The availability of molecular marker systems and their applications in genome\r\nmapping have lead to direct comparisons of the relative order of homologous\r\nsequences along the chromosomes of closely and distantly related species and the\r\ndevelopment of the concept of genome synteny. Comparative genome mapping\r\nprovides insights into genome evolution and genetic information among divergent\r\nspecies. Therefore the primary objective of this study was to use RFLP markers to\r\ncompare the presence of the same putative disease resistance genes in the sorghum\r\nand rice.
