investigation.","In field studies conducted in Rajasthan, India the mean pod damage to chickpeas (Cicer arietinum) caused by Heliothis armigera [Helicoverpa armigera] in protected and unprotected plots was 0.9 and 5.9%, resp., in 1984, and 1.0 and 6.4%, resp., in 1985.
