Parasitism of the noctuid larvae was higher in the susceptible than the resistant cultivars, averaging 42.5 and 34.5\%, respectively, and was higher (36.7-47.4\%) at 13.3 plants/m2 than at 4.4 plants/m2 (32.7-36.0\%). The influence of the cultivar was greater in October-November (when Carcelia illota (Curr.) was the dominant parasite) than in January (when Goniophthalmus halli Mesnil predominated)} }
