Intercropping with maize, sorghum or Pennisetum americanum reduced nodulation and N2-fixation. This is ascribed to shading of groundnuts by cereals and the consequent decrease in photosynthesis of the legume canopy. date: 1983 date_type: published publication: Experimental Agriculture volume: 19 number: 1 publisher: Cambridge University Press pagerange: 79-86 refereed: TRUE issn: 0014-4797 official_url: http://dx.doi.org/10.1017/S001447970001053X related_url_url: http://scholar.google.co.in/scholar?as_q=Effect+of+intercropping+on+nodulation+and+N2-fixation+by+groundnut&as_epq=&as_oq=&as_eq=&as_occt=title&as_sauthors=&as_publication=&as_ylo=&as_yhi=&btnG=&hl=en&as_sdt=0%2C5 related_url_type: pub citation: Nambiar, P T C and Rao, M R and Reddy, M S and Floyd, C N and Dart, P J (1983) Effect of intercropping on nodulation and N2-fixation by groundnut.
