Br) to test the comparative efficacy of pre-emergence herbicides atrazine and terbutryne applied separately, in mixture and in combination, with hand-hoeing. Weed density and dry weight significantly reduced by herbicide application and hand-hoeing. Atrazine or terbutryne alone at 1.0 kg a.i./ha or in combination at 0.5 kg a.i./ha each, resulted in mortality of pearl millet plants. Pre-emergence application of atrazine at 0.5 kg a.i./ha followed by hand-hoeing at 30 days after sowing gave effective weed control, and resulted in more grain yield compared to the unweeded-control. date: 1994 date_type: published publication: Indian Journal of Plant Protection volume: 22 number: 2 publisher: Plant Protection Association of India pagerange: 202-206 refereed: TRUE issn: 0253-4355 official_url: http://www.indianjournals.com/ijor.aspx?target=ijor:ijpp1&volume=22&issue=2&article=015 related_url_url: http://scholar.google.co.in/scholar?q=allintitle%3A+%22Efficacy+of+Herbicides+for+Weed+Control+in+Pearl+Millet%22&btnG=&hl=en&as_sdt=0%2C5 related_url_type: pub citation: Ramakrishna, A (1994) Efficacy of Herbicides for Weed Control in Pearl Millet.
