Since release in 1988 they have been involved as seed parents in the production of the hybrids Pusa 23, ICMH423 and Pusa 322. CMS in ICMA841 is stable in cool, post-rainy season sowings, while in rainy season sowings some pollen is produced. Both lines are highly resistant to downy mildew [Sclerospora graminicola]. ICMA841 has higher grain yield potential than other CMS lines currently available in India (0.7-1.1 t/ha). Both lines are midseason maturing (43-60 days to flowering) and produce compact, cylindrical panicles of 14-19 cm length.</mods:abstract><mods:classification authority="lcc">Millets</mods:classification><mods:originInfo><mods:dateIssued encoding="iso8061">1994</mods:dateIssued></mods:originInfo><mods:originInfo><mods:publisher>International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics</mods:publisher></mods:originInfo><mods:genre>Monograph</mods:genre></mets:xmlData></mets:mdWrap></mets:dmdSec><mets:amdSec ID="TMD_eprint_588"><mets:rightsMD ID="rights_eprint_588_mods"><mets:mdWrap MDTYPE="MODS"><mets:xmlData><mods:useAndReproduction>
