focused on major constraints to groundnut production in the semi-arid tropics. These
are: diseases, insect pests, drought, poor nutrition, and lack of high yielding varieties

goals have been identified. Genetic exploitation and improvement are considered to be
an Hltegral part of the many approaches that need to be merged into a single management
