The crop productivity of 1.50 t ha-1 is low in Asia. The available large variability in the Germplasm accessions has not been adequately utilized in the crop improvement programs and most groundnut cultivars stand on a very narrow genetic base. This is due to lack of information on agronomic and other economic traits, which require extensive evaluation. The development of a core collection could facilitate easier access to groundnut genetic resources and enhance their use in crop improvement. date: 2001 type: Conference or Workshop Item type: PeerReviewed format: application/pdf language: en identifier: http://oar.icrisat.org/5168/1/Development%20in%20groundnut%20core%20collection%20from%20Asian%20region%202.pdf identifier: Upadhyaya, H D and Ortiz, R and Bramel, P J and Singh, S (2001) Development in groundnut core collection from Asian region.
