The urea hydrolysis rate coefficient (k2) of the soils ranged from 0.083 to 0.167 mu moles/g soil hr-1 and remained fairly constant for each soil during the 12 hours of study of urease activity. The urease activity of the soils varied from 5.1 to 10.0 mu g urea hydrolysed/g of soil hr-1 and increased with increase in soil organic carbon content. date: 1980 date_type: published publication: Fertiliser News volume: 25 number: 8 publisher: Fertiliser Association of India pagerange: 12-13 refereed: TRUE issn: 0015-0266 related_url_url: http://scholar.google.co.in/scholar?hl=en&q=allintitle%3A+%22Kinetics+of+urea+hydrolysis+in+soils%22&btnG=Search&as_sdt=0%2C5&as_ylo=&as_vis=0 related_url_type: author citation: Sahrawat, K L (1980) Kinetics of urea hydrolysis in soils.
