<dc:description>The Pennisetum americanum lines ICMA4 and ICMB4 were selected from the Ugandan lines Serere 10LB and Serere 10LA. In a preliminary yield test in Andhra Pradesh and Haryana, India, the highest-yielding hybrid on ICMA4 outyielded MBH110 by up to 22% and was of the same maturity. ICMA4 and ICMB4 are of medium height with loose heads, mostly bristled, with purple glumes. The grains are large and round, with a 1000-grain weight of 9-10 g. The 2 lines are resistant to Sclerospora graminicola.</dc:description>
