In preliminary yield trials in Haryana, India, ICMA2 hybrids yielded more than 5141A hybrids and the standard, BJ140. ICMA2 hybrids flowered 5 days earlier and were 40 cm shorter than MBH110. ICMA2 carries the d2 dwarfing gene, allowing it to be used to produce hybrids with a wide range of heights. Both lines flower early (42 days) and tiller profusely.
