M )re recf:nt;y, w3 have obtained evidence of\r\ncomplenientarity between recessive genes csnfxring rd;ijta2ca injicating the\r\npossibility of obtaining highly resistant segregants from crossbs among moderately\r\nsusceptible genotypes, thus making available a much wider range of backgrounds\r\nthan hithxto rele3sed. The inheritance of the other diseases is\r\nnot well ,understood. Ascochyta blight resistance is reported to be monogenic\r\nand either dominant or rezessivz; manogenic inhetitanse m3y also\r\noccur for chickpea stunt.
