The control treatment (no drought) received full irrigation during the whole crop duration. MSD and ESD treatments were imposed by withholding irrigations between 50-100 days after sowing (DAS) and 100 DAS to the final harvest, respectively. Observations on the number of mature pods per plant, pod yield percentage, 100-kernel weight, sound mature kernel percentage, oil percentage and, harvest index were made. Genotypes had significant differences for all the characters. Highly significant genotype environment interaction was observed for pod yield, shelling percentage and harvest index. Significant reduction in mean under both stress conditions was observed for the number of mature pods, pod yield, shelling percentage, 100-kernel weight and harvest index, indicating that these characters were significantly affected by MSD and ESD. The mean sound mature kernel percentage and oil percentage were reduced significantly only under ESD. ESD coincided with the seed maturation and oil formation, indicating that these characters were more sensitive to ESD. When percent reduction was considered, among all the characters, it was high for the number of mature pods (46.67%) under MSD, followed by pod yield (29.74%) while under ESD for pod yield (41.31%), followed by the number of mature pods (33.25%), indicating that number of mature pods was most sensitive to MSD and pod yield to ESD.</mods:abstract><mods:classification authority="lcc">Groundnut</mods:classification><mods:originInfo><mods:dateIssued encoding="iso8061">2002</mods:dateIssued></mods:originInfo><mods:originInfo><mods:publisher>University of Agricultural Sciences</mods:publisher></mods:originInfo><mods:genre>Article</mods:genre></mets:xmlData></mets:mdWrap></mets:dmdSec><mets:amdSec ID="TMD_eprint_3533"><mets:rightsMD ID="rights_eprint_3533_mods"><mets:mdWrap MDTYPE="MODS"><mets:xmlData><mods:useAndReproduction>
