Significant interactions were observed between host cultivars and bacterial strains, but some cultivars showed consistently increased grain and dry matter yields, suggesting the possibility of exploiting suitable plant and nitrogen-fixing bacterial associations for increasing grain yield. Inoculation also resulted in increased nitrogen uptake up to 14.9 kg ha−1, and larger grain nitrogen contents. date: 1985 publication: Experimental Agriculture volume: 21 publisher: Cambridge University Press pagerange: 175-182 refereed: TRUE official_url: http://dx.doi.org/10.1017/S001447970001245X related_url_url: http://scholar.google.co.in/scholar?hl=en&q=allintitle%3A+Response+of+Pearl+Millet+Cultivars+to+Inoculation+with+Nitrogen-fixing+Bacteria%E2%80%A0&btnG=Search&as_sdt=0%2C5&as_ylo=&as_vis=0 related_url_type: author citation: Wani, S P and Chandrapalaiah, S and Dart, P J (1985) Response of Pearl Millet Cultivars to Inoculation with Nitrogen-fixing Bacteria.
