The ELISA technique takes less time than the conventional plant infection technique often used to enumerate rhizobia present in the presence of other micro-organisms. A minimum of 102–103 cells are required for a detectable ELISA reaction, limiting the use of this technique when the number of rhizobia is low. date: 1985 publication: Journal of Applied Microbiology volume: 58 number: 2 publisher: Blackwell Publishing pagerange: 187-193 refereed: TRUE official_url: http://dx.doi.org/10.1111/j.1365-2672.1985.tb01446.x related_url_url: http://scholar.google.co.in/scholar?hl=en&q=allintitle%3A+Enumeration+of+rhizobia+by+enzyme-linked+immunosorbent+assay+%28ELISA%29&btnG=Search&as_sdt=0%2C5&as_ylo=&as_vis=0 related_url_type: author citation: Nambiar, P T C and Anjaiah, V (1985) Enumeration of rhizobia by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA.
