Results obtained with the above procedures were compared with (d) the standard microKjeldahl procedure. Results obtained with (a), (b) and (c) were highly correlated with those from (d). The standard error of (c) was high compared with (a) and (b). The possible interference of seed-coat pigments and the effects of flour particle size and time of shaking on the results from (b) and (c) were also studied %T Evaluation of rapid methods for the estimation of protein in chickpea (Cicer arietinum L.)
