Three pest groups were found: pod-boring Lepidoptera (Helicoverpa armigera, Maruca vitrata and Etiella zinckenella), pod-sucking bugs (mainly Clavigralla tomentosicollis) and pod fly (Melanagromyza chalcosoma). Natural enemies included Coleoptera, Hymenoptera, Diptera and Hemiptera and were found more frequently in Kenya than in the other countries. date: 1999 date_type: published publication: International Chickpea and Pigeonpea Newsletter volume: 6 publisher: International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics pagerange: 47-50 refereed: TRUE related_url_url: http://scholar.google.co.in/scholar?as_q=Natural+Enemies+Associated+with+Arthropod+Pests+of+Pigeonpea+in+Eastern+Africa&num=10&btnG=Search+Scholar&as_epq=&as_oq=&as_eq=&as_occt=title&as_sauthors=&as_publication=&as_ylo=&as_yhi=&as_sdt=1.&as_sdtp=on&as_sdt related_url_type: author citation: Minja, E M and Shanower, T G and Ong'aro, J M and Nderitu, J and Songa, J M (1999) Natural Enemies Associated with Arthropod Pests of Pigeonpea in Eastern Africa.
