Three pest groups were found: pod-boring Lepidoptera (Helicoverpa armigera, Maruca vitrata and Etiella zinckenella), pod-sucking bugs (mainly Clavigralla tomentosicollis) and pod fly (Melanagromyza chalcosoma). Natural enemies included Coleoptera, Hymenoptera, Diptera and Hemiptera and were found more frequently in Kenya than in the other countries. publisher: International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics date: 1999 type: Article type: PeerReviewed format: application/pdf language: en identifier: http://oar.icrisat.org/2996/1/ICPN6%252847-50%25291999.pdf identifier: Minja, E M and Shanower, T G and Ong'aro, J M and Nderitu, J and Songa, J M (1999) Natural Enemies Associated with Arthropod Pests of Pigeonpea in Eastern Africa.
