abstract: Nucleotide binding sites conferring disease resistance were cloned from chickpea (Cicer arietinum) and pigeon pea (Cajanus cajan). The majority of amplified resistance gene candidates showed high homology to N (tobacco) and L6 (flax) resistance genes.
