TY - JOUR AV - public N2 - Groundnut cultivar Robut 33-1 was screened for resistance to stem rot (Sclerotium rolfsii [Corticium rolfsii]) to compare 7 inoculation methods. Ten-day-old seedlings were inoculated with 10-day-old inoculum. The plants were observed for 30 days after inoculation, temperature within the greenhouse ranging from 16-31°C and humidity from 40-54.5%. The maximum mortality (100%) due to stem rot was observed when the inoculum was spread on the soil surface and covered with organic matter. It was concluded this is the best method for screening for resistance to S. rolfsii under greenhouse conditions.
