The roots of 10 plants from each of 18 genotypes from Hisar and 16 from ICRISAT were washed and their nodulation status was compared by visual rating, nodule number and nodule mass. The correlation between visual rating and nodule number was 0.79 at both locations, and between visual rating and nodule mass it was 0.84 at ICRISAT and 0.85 in Hisar.
