Seed obtained from the Directorate of Pulses Research, Kanpur, India, was sown during the seasons 1985/86 to 1988/89 in a randomized block design, with a row of the susceptible cultivar JG62 between every second row of test lines. The mortality of JG62 in all 4 seasons was 100%. The lines Avrodhi and ICCC48, which were tested in all 4 seasons, had a mortality of <20%. Line GCP6, which was tested in 3 seasons, also showed a mortality of <20%. The wilt pathogen F. oxysporum f.sp. ciceris was the predominant fungus isolated from the dead plants, followed by R. bataticola. All lines having <20% mortality showed extensive root rotting.</mods:abstract><mods:classification authority="lcc">Chickpea</mods:classification><mods:originInfo><mods:dateIssued encoding="iso8061">1990</mods:dateIssued></mods:originInfo><mods:genre>Article</mods:genre></mets:xmlData></mets:mdWrap></mets:dmdSec><mets:amdSec ID="TMD_eprint_2182"><mets:rightsMD ID="rights_eprint_2182_mods"><mets:mdWrap MDTYPE="MODS"><mets:xmlData><mods:useAndReproduction>
