Sorghum germplasm is regularly exchanged between ICRISAT and several sorghum growing countries in Africa, America, Asia, and Europe. The ICRISAT gene bank through National Bureau of Plant Genetic Resources (NBPGR) imports the sorghum germplasm after necessary quarantine processing. The germplasm, after processing in the laboratory, is transferred to the post- entry quarantine isolation area (PEQIA) to ensure that only insect and disease free germplasm enters into India and the ICRISAT gene bank. date: 2000 publication: Indian Journal of Plant Genetic Resources volume: 13 number: 2 pagerange: 186-187 refereed: TRUE related_url_url: http://scholar.google.co.in/scholar?as_q=Sorghum+germplasm+from+Thailand+showing+resistance+to+sugarcane+aphid%2C+Melanaphis+sacchari+Zehntner&num=10&btnG=Search+Scholar&as_epq=&as_oq=&as_eq=&as_occt=title&as_sauthors=&as_publication=&as_ylo=&as_yhi=&as_s related_url_type: author citation: Babu, B S and Sharma, H C and Surender, A and Rao, R D V J P and Chakrabarty, S and Singh, S D and Girish, G A (2000) Sorghum germplasm from Thailand showing resistance to sugarcane aphid, Melanaphis sacchari Zehntner.
