Pots with ICPL 85010 were kept at a distance of 0.5 m from the air coolers, while those with male-sterile plants were placed 3 m away from the pollen source. Pod setting was observed in unbagged open branches. GMS and CMS plants produced an average pod count of 3.25 and 5.0 pods/plant. This is the first reported occurrence of wind pollination in pigeon pea. date: 2001 publication: Indian Journal of Genetics and Plant Breeding volume: 61 number: 3 pagerange: 279-280 refereed: TRUE related_url_url: http://scholar.google.co.in/scholar?as_q=%09First+report+of+wind+pollination+in+pigeonpea&num=10&btnG=Search+Scholar&as_epq=&as_oq=&as_eq=&as_occt=title&as_sauthors=&as_publication=&as_ylo=&as_yhi=&as_sdt=1.&as_sdtp=on&as_sdtf=&as_sdts=5&hl=en related_url_type: author citation: Kumar, R V and Saxena, K B (2001) First report of wind pollination in pigeonpea.
