India. Relationships between stay-green, grain yield and yield components were investigated. Grain yield under post-anthesis stress conditions was correlated with grain number and, to a lesser extent, grain size. Grain number was correlated with green leaf area at anthesis. The stay-green trait was associated with higher leaf N status and transpiration efficiency. date: 1999 date_type: published publication: International Sorghum and Millets Newsletter volume: 40 publisher: International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics pagerange: 31-34 refereed: TRUE related_url_url: http://scholar.google.co.in/scholar?as_q=Stay-Green+Trait+Associated+with+Yield+in+Recombinant+Inbred+Sorghum+Lines+Varying+in+Rate+of+Leaf+Senescence&num=10&btnG=Search+Scholar&as_epq=&as_oq=&as_eq=&as_occt=title&as_sauthors=&as_publication=&as_ylo=&as_y related_url_type: author citation: Borrell, A K and Bidinger, F R and Sunitha, K (1999) Stay-Green Trait Associated with Yield in Recombinant Inbred Sorghum Lines Varying in Rate of Leaf Senescence.
