Samples were taken at the onset of intermittent drought (52 days after sowing (DAS)), end of drought (72 DAS) and at final harvest. Total above-ground dry matter, pod mass, crop growth rate and partitioning coefficient were recorded. The results showed that the recovery in growth rates following the release of drought was higher in most of the genotypes when grown on the BBF system as compared to FB system. About half of the genotypes studied maintained higher partitioning when grown on BBF than when grown on FB. The results suggest that the BBF system is promising for short-duration genotypes in northwestern Rajasthan. date: 2002 publication: International Arachis Newsletter volume: 22 pagerange: 15-18 refereed: TRUE related_url_url: http://scholar.google.co.in/scholar?as_q=Evaluation+of+short-duration+groundnut+genotypes+for+the+arid+zone+of+northwest+Rajasthan%2C+India&num=10&btnG=Search+Scholar&as_epq=&as_oq=&as_eq=&as_occt=title&as_sauthors=&as_publication=&as_ylo=&as_yhi=&as_sdt= related_url_type: author citation: Talwar, H S and Soni, M L and Beniwal, R K and Tomar, R K and Nigam, S N (2002) Evaluation of short-duration groundnut genotypes for the arid zone of northwest Rajasthan, India.
