The activity began with the collection of 40,265 representative soil samples using stratified random sampling across 30 districts. This was a first of its kind, systematic exercise aimed at diagnosing soil fertility- related constraints in the state in order to ascertain macro and micronutrient deficiencies and develop practical recommendations for scaling-out.
