	bibo:abstract "The contribution of agriculture to\r\nOdisha’s economy has increased\r\nsignificantly, according to its latest\r\neconomic survey (2019-20), which\r\nshows that about 20% of the state’s\r\nrevenue comes from crops, livestock,\r\nfisheries and aquaculture.\r\nWhile ‘natural shocks’ interrupted\r\ncrop production — a cyclone in 2013-14,\r\ndrought in 2015-16 and pest attacks in 2017-\r\n18 — the growth in livestock and fisheries\r\nhas risen steadily for a decade. The state’s\r\nAgriculture Policy 2020 indicated the sector’s\r\nGDP nearly doubled in real terms, clocking an\r\nannual growth rate of about 4.5%, higher than\r\nthe all-India average of 3.1% between 2000-01\r\nand 2016-17.\r\nOdisha’s agricultural success can be\r\ntraced back to a legacy of scientific exploration\r\nand interventions."^^xsd:string;
