The stover are also used as feeds for livestock (small ruminant) as basal diet, especially during the cold dry season. ICRISAT has developed many dualpurpose millet varieties that aim to increase feeds for livestock while providing grain as food to farmers. But the nutritional quality of Stover of these varieties for livestock are not known. This research aims to assess the quality of residues of the dual-purpose varieties and their effect on feed intake and live weight changes of young sheep. date: 2019-09 date_type: published event_title: Tropentag 2019: Filling gaps and removing traps for sustainable resources management event_location: University of Kassel, Germany event_dates: 18-20 September 2019 event_type: workshop refereed: TRUE official_url: https://hdl.handle.net/10568/105609 citation: Umutoni, C and Bado, B V and Whitbread, A M and Ayantunde, A and Abdoussalam, I and Korombe, H S (2019) Evaluation of the feed quality of six dual purpose pearl millet varieties and growth performance of sheep fed their residues in Niger.
