The\r\nworkshop served as a forum to share experiences and information on strategies used to enhance\r\non-farm productivity in West Africa. Presentations were made by a wide array of\r\nrepresentatives: national and international research institutes, research networks,\r\nnongovernmental organizations, and the private sector.\r\nA synthesis of panel discussions is presented on participatory on-farm approaches to\r\nincrease agricultural production and adoption of improved technologies; sustainable on-farm\r\nseed production; sorghum and millet processing; and socioeconomic aspects.
