Following were the specific objectives of the present investigation: 1. To evaluate antifeedant activity of Bt and soybean trypsin inhibitor (SBTI) genes against H. armigera under dual-choice and no-choice conditions. 2. To evaluate the effect of SBTl and plant lectins on the survival and development of H. armigera. 3. To evaluate the effect of Bt and SBTl genes on consumption and utilization of food by H. armigera. 4. To evaluate the effect of Bt and SBTl transformed plants on the biology of H. armigera. date: 2000 date_type: submitted institution: Jawaharlal Nehru Krlshl Vishwa Vidyalaya, Jabalpur department: Department of Entomology thesis_type: masters related_url_url: http://scholar.google.co.in/scholar?as_q=Evaluation+of+biological+activity+of+bacillus+thuringiensis%2C+soybean+trypsin+inhibitor+and+plant+lectins+against+the+legume+pod+borer%2C+Helicoverpa+armigera&num=10&btnG=Search+Scholar&as_epq=&as_oq=&as_eq=&as_oc related_url_type: author citation: Shukla, S (2000) Evaluation of biological activity of bacillus thuringiensis, soybean trypsin inhibitor and plant lectins against the legume pod borer, Helicoverpa armigera.
