bibo:abstract "Since the term ‘climate-smart agriculture’ (CSA) was coined\r\nin 2010, a growth in strategies, policies, partnerships and\r\ninvestments in the area has been observed. Here we have\r\nsummarised key CSA efforts globally and in South Asia,\r\nSoutheast Asia, East Africa, West Africa, and Latin America. We\r\nhave interpreted CSA in the broad sense, including efforts\r\nwhich may not mention CSA but implicitly contribute to CSA\r\npillars. We note that many international and regional\r\norganisations, and countries, are implementing policies and\r\nprogrammes promoting and upscaling CSA. While the growth\r\nin strategies, policies, partnerships and investments is positive\r\nand creates a favourable enabling environment for CSA, these\r\nneed to be complemented with targeted implementation on\r\nthe ground, sustainable financing, institutional coordination\r\nand metrics to measure the efficacy of interventions."^^xsd:string;
